ZSVTS – The Association of Slovak Scienti c and Technological Societies by means its body - National Committee for FEANI - deputes the Slovak Republic in FEANI. The main activities of the ZSVTS in the past period are highlighted below.
Day of Engineers and Technicians in Slovakia
17 March of each year sees a Memorable Day of Slovak Engineers and technicians. Every year a press conference at this day is organized.
FEANI EUR ING and Project ŠVOC – Student´s Science and Specialized Activity
ZSVTS initiated the collaboration with schools included in the FEANI INDEX related to the EUR ING professional title at the young scienti c works of the students. The 2017 activity was complemented by the establishment of the “ZSVTS Ambassadors“, which task is the promotion of scienti c activities (HEIs and Middle Schools) in the Slovak Republic.
Forum Engineers and Technicians of Slovakia (FITS)
FITS ´17 – The main theme of the conference was Interdisciplinarity of Engineering Applications. This event had two parts. The rst, specialized, part concerned the demand for new skills for future careers, EUR ACE accredi- tations of study programmes, blue economics, news in IT area, the innovative above-ground transportation system of the company Sky Way company, etc. At the second, celebrating, part, the ZSVTS awarded members with medals on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of ZSVTS. This event was held under the auspices of the president of the Slovak Republic and with the personal participation of State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
Scientist of the Year
ZSVTS together with the Slovak Academy of Sciences and Slovak Centre of Scienti c and Technical Information prepared and realized the 19th and 20th competition of scientists, technologists and innovators in Slovakia.
