The Technical Chamber of Greece had developed, during the period 2016-2017, many activities with the aim at continuing to provide excellent services to its members, safeguarding the authority of the profession of Engineer and promoting, through its scienti c work and initiatives, the role of the Engineer at national and international level. At a glance:
• TCG hosted the 64th ECCE General Meeting on 21-22 October 2016 in Athens. On 22 October the new ECCE Ex- ecutive Board was elected. Mr. Aris Chatzidakis, Member of FEANI’s EMC and Member of FEANI’s Hellenic NMC was elected ECCE President Elect for the term 2018-2020. A Round Table, entitled “Building the future: The road to prosperity is always under construction” was held on 20 October 2016.
• International Conference on «Sustainable Real Estate Markets-Policy Framework and Necessary Reforms», Athens 19-21 September 2016: The Conference was or- ganized in cooperation with the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and the World Bank aiming to review- ing real-estate taxation, the inquiring of the value of the Land - Register for the ef cient land management and the proposed reforms in the real-estate market in Greece. Mrs Chryssy Potsiou, TCG Member, holds the FIG Presi- dency until the end of 2018.
• UIA 2017 Seoul World Architects Congress (September 2017): An Exhibition of Greek Architects and Students’ projects selected by the Hellenic UIA Section, was pre- sented during the UIA 2017 Seoul World Architects Con- gress. The UIA Greek Section & UIA ARES Programme also organized an Event on “Design and Optimization of Zero Energy Consumption Buildings”. During the UIA Elections, Mr. Nikos Fintikakis was elected New UIA Region II Vice President for the period 2017-2020.
