     IDA Vision 2025
The Danish Society of Engineers – Denmark’s strongest voice on technology – providing knowledge, building networks and representing the interests of our members.
IDA: Together we realize the potential of technology and knowledge.
IDA Vision 2025 takes the its part of departure in the UN Global Goals on sustainable development.
New Technology – Challenges and Perspectives for engineers in Denmark.
The rapid development of new technologies has – like in other countries – continued over the past year and IDA has taken up the challenges in different ways by addressing both the needs for new technological competences in the companies and by having a continuously cooperation with the Danish Technical Universities and other institutions responsible for the education of engineers.
Since the borders between science and engineering is getting more and more transparent and dependent of each
Mr. Thomas Damkjær Pedersen, President of IDA
other, IDA has increased the number of professional activ- ities within the Society of Engineers for scientist educated in the classical scienti c subjects like mathematic, physics, chemistry and information technologies. At the same time IDA has extended the number of professional activities for groups of academia which are practicing engineering skills in new, integrated subjects with e.g. the relevant social sciences. These new types of professional activities are taking place in our Professional Networks that all are a part of IDA and which together constitutes a professional pro le for both engineers and professionals educated in classical science.
